Family Church Beliefs
•The Lord Jesus
Christ
We believe in the deity
of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son
of God. We believe in His death for all
men, His resurrection, and His
inevitable return to judge the world.
•The Sacred Scripture
We believe in the
scripture as the inspired Word of God
and that it is the complete revelation
of God's will for mankind. We believe in
the absolute authority of the scripture
to govern the affairs of men and that
the Bible is accurate in all its
teachings.
•Sin
We believe all men are
born sinners. Sin is choosing our way
rather than God’s. Sin is an issue of
the heart; we cannot limit its
definition to the doing of wrong things.
Simply stated sin is to miss the mark;
or to fall short of the goal.
•Repentance
We believe repentance is
the inner brokenness and yieldedness
which results in a change of heart and
causes a person to turn from sin and
dead works to God and His works. The
basis of repentance is a heart set on
pleasing God. True repentance always
brings change.
•Salvation
We believe all men are
born with a sinful (Adamic) nature and
that the work of the Cross was to redeem
man from the power of sin. We believe
that salvation is available to all and
is accomplished by God and leaves
nothing for us to do except respond. At
salvation a believer is secure in Christ
Jesus.
•Water Baptism
We believe in the
ordinance of water baptism by immersion
in obedience to the Word of God. All
those who have accepted Jesus Christ as
their personal savior should be baptized
in water as a public profession of their
faith in Christ and to experience every
thing God has made available to them.
•The Holy Spirit
We believe in the
existence of the Holy Spirit as the
third person of the Trinity and in His
interaction with man. We believe in the
baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested
by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit
and that it is a separate experience
that happens sometime after salvation.
•Prayer
We believe that prayer is
first and foremost communion with our
loving heavenly Father. Jesus said in
the scriptures “what ever you ask in my
name, I will do it.”
•Stewardship
We believe that every man
is the steward of his life and
resources, which are subject to and
ultimately belong to God. We believe
that tithing is a natural response to
God’s grace and blessings.
•The Church
We believe in the Church
as the eternal and universal Body of
Christ consisting of all believers,
including those who have gone before as
well as those who are yet to come. We
believe that the local assembly of
believers is the present visible
expression of Jesus Christ on the earth,
a true Kingdom example in a specific
locality for His purpose.
•Praise and Worship
We have a contemporary
praise and worship service, and worship the Lord through singing,
clapping, and dancing; and with a loud voice,
instruments and the lifting of
hands. We believe that praise is
declaring the wondrous works of God.
Worship is reverence, adoration and a
heart-felt response to God.
•Every Member Ministry
We believe in the
ministry of the Holy Spirit to the
Church body through its members to one
another. We believe true body ministry
begins with the realization that each
member has a specific calling or purpose
to fulfill.
•Evangelism
We believe that
evangelism is a natural response for all
who have experienced the love of Jesus
Christ. The Lord commands us to make
disciples of all the Nations. We believe
that each person is first responsible
for evangelism in their own family as
the Holy Spirit leads them.
